Q:
How do I ensure that my diarised standard domestic payment is sent to the beneficiary's bank as early as possible on the day it is due to arrive?
A:
To ensure they are sent in the overnight release process, which starts at 02:00 and usually completes by 06:00, please ensure that:
- you have fully authorised and released the payments by 18:00 on the last working day before they are due to arrive.
- they are authorised, and due to arrive, on a working day.
Payments that cannot be included in the overnight process will be released from 08:00.
If there are insufficient funds in the account you are making the payments from then they may be rejected or delayed until later in the day.
