What should I do if I get an error message when making standard priority international payments over the May and August bank holidays?


If you’re making a standard priority international payment and set it to arrive on the working day after the ‘UK  only’ bank holidays in May or August, you may get an error message.

You can still get the payment to arrive on this date, however instead of selecting ‘Date payment to arrive’, select ‘Date payment initiated’ and enter the date of the working day before the bank holiday.

For example: Monday 25 May is a bank holiday. If you want a standard EUR payment to arrive on Tuesday 26 May, select ‘Date payment initiated’ and enter Friday 22 May.

Please check the payment confirmation screens to make sure all the dates specified still meet your needs.
