When I switch banks, will the consents I’ve set up for third parties to access data through open banking, switch too?


Before you close an account, check whether you have any Third Party Provider (TPP) set up and if so, who with. You can see the consents you have via the ‘Manage Third Party Provider consents’ page.

If you’re unsure as to whether your new bank will support the TPP consents on your account, you’ll need to discuss this with them ahead of your switch.

Once your new account is open, you’ll need to contact your TPP to enable access to your new account. You’ll need to give them your new account details and follow any further steps required by the TPP. You’ll need to contact the TPP directly to set this up.
