What are the different master roles?

A:

There are a number of master roles that can be assigned to users within Bankline, these provide the user with varying levels of functionality and access to information.

Before assigning a Master Role to your users please review the privileges it contains.

The master roles are:

Superuser - gives users all the audit and account information privileges (for example, to view account balances and transactions) and all administration privileges except setting payment limits and preferences.

Superuser, All Pymts - allows users to key and authorise all payment types, including bulk and template payment privileges. However, users cannot authorise their own CHAPS payments. Superuser, Std Pymts - gives users all payment privileges for standard domestic payments only - not CHAPS or International payments. Also includes all privileges for Administration, Audit and Account information.

Standard Admin - gives users all privileges for administration.

Auditor - allows users to view audit records and privileges reports.

Account Operator - allows users to view account information, including viewing balances, transactions and voucher images. Also includes Manage accounts and Manage Account Sets privileges from the Administration menu.

Balance Operator - allows users to view account balances only.

Authorise All Pymts - allows users to authorise and check payments of other users, but not their own payments or confidential payments.

Auth CHAPS Pymts - allows users to authorise CHAPS payments only.

Authorise Int Pymts - allows users to authorise international payments only.

Auth Own all Pymts - allows users to authorise their own payments only, excepting confidential payments.

Authorise Std Pymts - allows users to authorise standard domestic payments and IATs, as well as viewing payments and templates/bulk lists. Users can also check bulk lists and templates and cancel Direct Debits and Standing Orders.

Key All Pymts - allows users to key and edit all types of payments, including template and bulk payments (except confidential bulk lists). Also allows user to view payment summaries.

Key CHAPS Pymts - allows users to key and maintain CHAPS payments only.

Key Int Pymts - allows users to key and maintain international payments, but not to authorise.

Key Std Pymts - allows users to key, import, maintain and view all Standard domestic payment types (not international or CHAPS) and IATs, but not to authorise.

Key & Auth All Pymts - allows users to key and authorise all payments except those related to confidential bulk lists, and their own payments. Also allows users to check bulk lists and templates and cancel Direct Debits and Standing Orders.

Key & Auth CHAPS Pymts - allows users to key and maintain CHAPS payments. They can also authorise CHAPS payments, other than their own.

Key & Auth Int Pymts - allows users to key and maintain international payments. They can also authorise international payments, other than their own.

Key & Auth Std Pymts - allows users to key, import and view standard domestic payments and IATs, and authorise payments, except their own and confidential payments. Users can also check bulk lists and templates and cancel Direct Debits and Standing Orders.
